I know this has probably been done to death already, but cant find any threads.
I want a new exhaust that:-
1. Increase BHP (more than 2BHP!)
2. Makes a better sound (rather than the standard mouse fart), but
3. Doesn't deafen me on the motorway
4. Isn't the sizeof Barrymore's ringpiece![](http://www.stopstart.freeserve.co.uk/smilie/eyeswide.gif)
Car is standard at the moment, was looking at Dawes, AFR and boost guage, but a bit too scared of things going ****!

I've just had a fully scoobysport decat put on and not only does it sound great but it's not too intrusive either (not as loud as the same system I had on my old MY96).
Oh..........and the back box is considerably smaller than Barrymore's ringpiece

try the new system from J-W Racing .
Its made by Magnex, so the quality is superb, sounds lovely, looks ace (slash cut tail like the new shape STi8) and should give a fair old power increase ~ maybe 30bhp for a full system

I know I've said it before, but . . For an exhaust that is much quieter than most but still makes the right noises, the APS system works very well. Have it on my car after hearing a fair few others, still think I have made the best choice for me, although (especially if you fit the sports cat), it isn't the cheapest system. J-W supply them too, so I'd suggest speaking to Jamie.
Re: no 3. Yes. With any exhaust. Unless you keep the standard backbox with a quiet front half, and keep the "mouse fart".![Wink](https://www.scoobynet.com/images/smilies/wink.gif)
