REMAPPING

Maybe a daft question, here it is
why when companies offer remaps, ie, 'ecutek' they will only remap a standard ecu and not the ppp ecu ?
surely as the ppp ecu is considered an 'upgrade' then could this also not be programmable ??

It could be remapped, but it is more economical for the owner to sell the PPP ECU and buy an AE802 for £75. In the case of the new age ECUs, the PPP ECUs have a daughter board which changes the MAP signal, so they should not be remapped.
