Does anyone know where I can get a good engine upgrade for MY01? At the moment I have a superchip and decatted exhaust! Which when rolling road tuned was about 275bhp! I feel its just not fast enough now. So where can I get a good upgrade to about 350-400 bhp?

Hi, just replied to your question in the 300 bhp thread.

I'd like to add that cars are not fast. I have a 400 ft/lbs Evo 6 with 420 bhp, but it doesnt feel fast. Getting an Impreza tuned as well, but I dont expect it to be fast.

I'd like to recommend taking weight from the car, given that WEIGHT IS THE FIRST ENEMY OF PERFORMANCE. Dont rip out all the interiour, that wouldnt look nice; but take out the spare wheel (around 20 kg with tyre) the air conditioning (compressor is heavy) if you have it (another 20 kg), the ABS with pump and ECU (8-10 kg less and better braking), lighter wheels, lighter tyres, lighter flywheel and you will end up with a nice, standard looking car that is say one person lighter. It will feel as much faster as your car feels slower when you take someone with you.

I whould say:

- injectors (the standard ones reach max. flow already with std. turbo)
- turbo
- remap
- (perhaps: fuel pump)

Mark.

I'll second what Mark (EMS) said as we are doing this to a project car. Total cost around £3k and 350-360 is achievable.
