Mine holds 13 psi, but peaks at 14.5. Some of the others on the rollers at Well Lane were a little higher, I think.

Mine went on the rollers this weekend and peaked at around 13 and then held at around 12, is there an easy way to up this 2-3psi (i haven't got a boost guage, so I cannot configure a Dawes device)!

dawes and no boost gauge is just asking for trouble m8. i would also recommend an AFR and knocklink just to be on the safe side. couple of hundred quid is a helluva lot cheaper than an engine rebuild/replacement when your pistons melt.

just my 2p worth

cheers

big sinky

no, i meant I have not got a boost guage and so I cant get a dawes device!

How much power would fitting the dawes and cranking the boost up a couple of psi give???

Had a Dawes on and set it up for 16psi, (just under fuel cut) and car felt much, much better in the 2750-4500 rpm range but then the boost deteriorates to about 10psi by 6000 rpm, not sure if this is normal or a feature of the bleed hole in the Dawes.
Would have been on the car on the rollers at Weel Lane on Sunday but it played up on the way down (sticking and overboosting all the time), so I took it off before I had a chance to see what output it could achieve, might post on here for ideas for a solution
Neil.

Just looking at my dyno graph, and it shows boost peaks at 13psi @2750rpm and then slowly tails off to 12psi @ 5300 rpm and onto 10 psi @6100rpm is this normal, or is the boost running lower than normal?
If it isn't normal, any ideas why it is low, and how I can get it back to standard?

I believe the dropoff is a function of the turbo's efficiency or the small exhaust housing blows the wastegate open, something like that.

Strange though that I've got a dyno plot of mine and it seems to hold torque almost flat to around 6k before dropping off. Basically it climbs massively from 2k-3k, then climbs slightly from 3k to become near-flat between 4.5k and 6k, and it also feels like it pulls solidly to the redline with no dropoff. Weird - if the boost was tailing off I thought it would be felt and show a drop in torque - and I haven't even fitted the dawes yet .
