Throttle position sensor..

Just printed out the sheet out of the subaru egi document..

tps has 5.1v supply.. and thats as far as I got tonight..

well actually...

Batt voltage 14.172v
Yellow 4.578v (Drops as Revs rise)
Red 5.104 Stable Regardless of TPS
Black? Gnd?
Black / Brown 0v 4.827v when throttle opened.

Other tests still to do..

Have spare throttle body complete with tps standing by.. suspect could be a hard fault to find as there are no symptoms of any fault when driving / revving...

So it wasn't a direct ECU error, hoorah.

Are you able to measure the output of the throttle sensor to make sure it moves with the throttle? Duuh, that's what you posted! Does the voltage go up/down nicely in line with the throttle action?

If not it's possible it was the ECU?

I'll email you some stuff when I get back from work.

Paul

Ive got the docs and will be giving it a look on saturday morning... most likely cause is the fact I had to extend the wiring to the plug, but that was spot on... soldered, heatshrinked and taped..
