Exclamation

Need some advice. What the best replacement system (downpipe, centre section, backbox, filter) in terms of power and quicker throttle response (and I suppose cost?). Excess cabin noise doesn't worry me too much.

I've read about H&Scott, the SSport Janspeed and HKS systems - what others are around?

So who system should I be looking at for an STi V?

Cheers

BPM td38 downpipe, with hks hiper exhaust system. It is a full 3" catless system - highly recommend... and it just so happens they are for sale here:

Cool

Personally, I am very happy with my Pat designed exhaust system. I beleive he may have at least one of these floating about without an owner at the moment and I am confident that it will outflow an HKS hyper, whilst being more civil (and cheaper) too. You would need to find a downpipe to mate up with it, however, that shouldnt be a problem.

I believe that Christian is selling his hyper to replace it with one of these systems.

Christian, Moray and Trout. The poor guy has by the sounds of it a STANDARD STi V.

A BPM downpipe might struggle to produce good spool up. 3 inches will take longer to spool than a 2.5 inch system.

I would recommend going for the H&S system. Their system has been proven on the rollers to give some of the best gains for a complete system, with it also producing a great noise.

Flame suit on, and zipped up.

Even though it is 3", it will fit to a o/e downpipe - but to get best results, I would recommend changing the downpipe.

the Twin Dump Downpipe is engineered for maximum HP / Torque extraction, and increases Mid to High end Power. It is a perfect match with the HKS hiper Exhaust.

If he also fits my hks racing suction kit as well, he will be even more happy with the results. I was extremely happy with this setup!!
