Unhappy

The head gasket has failed on my 93WRX after only 55k miles on std boost, can they be changed with the engine in the car or will i need to remove it? Also is there a work shop manual available for the scoob? I doubt i'll need it but it would be handy for torque settings and tightening sequences etc.

Can i leave the gearbox in the car when i pull the engine out or does the box need to come out too? I've had a quick look and reckon if i remove the rad there should be enough room to slide the engine forward off the input shaft and then lift the engine straight up and out! sounds easy eh?

You can leave the gearbox in place.
It is a easy job to pull the engine out.....45min
And You can leave the DP on too.
Just disconnect the wires on both side of the engine(i tooke out the wires under the manifold the first time)Just to see that it can be disconnected on both sides

Skassa
