Help with more boost
#1
HI,
I have a MY96 uk turbo. I would like some advise on ECU's and the like. My car so far has a Magnex back box, Pipercross filter, uprated brakes and a reset ECU for a diet of Optimax. I also have a straight through centre pipe on the way.
The next step is to up the boost, but with what? I have seen the adverts for superchips and others but know not what's best.
I don't want to spend a fortune, what do you think?
Thanks
Clive

Mad , i think a good route would be a dawes device to up the boost and a then a tek 2 or 2.5 to map it properly and safely
you should then have ooodles of power . , speak so saxo boy , i think he has a dawes , decat and tek 2.5 (i think) , correct me please people ... and he was pushing out ample power.
Im guessing you already have a boost gauge to moniter things ? and with these mods and tweaking i would say get a knocklink as a precaution and to moniter things.

dawes will be fine, i have a dawes on my MY98 UK and im running 15.5 held, 16 PSi peak.
as long as you dont go above fuel cut it will be fine (you'll know if you do) and i would advise monitoring it with a boost gauge and an AFR
