Hi All,

I have just installed a TD05,tomei 555cc injectors,and i can not get it to make 1,0bar before 3600rpm/4th , without overshout in 4th/5th gear.
At 4000/rpm itīs 1,4bar tappering to 1,3bar/7000rpm

How can i make it spool up faster??.....Or mayby i scould keep that way and my gearbox mait last

Mods are:MY99 GT,LinkEcu,3port,555cc,parrelfueldelivery,FPR set at 3,2bar,Supersprint manifold/uppipe,Costum DP,HKS Hiper,Frontmount IC.

Thanks,
Skassa

I suspect you need to juggle with your Link boost control settings, or use a Dawes or AVC-R, the reason I say this is that it sounds like you can get it earlier if you have overboost in the higher gears, so it is not the turbo, but control of it that is the issue? With a Dawes with 0.5mm bleed hole I could get 1 bar by 3000 RPM in 4th gear with no overshoot at all in any gear.

You can also tighten the actuator to help spool up as long as you don't get boost creep or binding.

I am having just this problem at the moment as well... Trading fast spool for overboost in 4th and 5th. I think I have just about reached a compromise... but ordered a dawes last week to try and improve it some more.

Hi Skassa,

What were you getting before? The headers you're using are not know for their assistance during spool, from memory around 3k5 with a vf23 was the best I saw.

Easy way to check what is actually possible is to remove and block the compressor output to the solenoid...and go for a 'careful' WOT in 4th...get off the gas at 1 bar

LOL,

Richard, with my VF-29 i was getting it at the same rpm.

I just thought that i was a dum a$$ to map the spool up,but it did change alot when i got the supersprint manifold.....

I dont think itīs a problem as it is , itīs driving nice and pulling great from 3200/3300rpm

+ my IDC is dropped to 85%

Thanks ,
Skassa

I don't think 1 bar@3600 isn't too bad with the manifold. However it should be possible to achieve a little better spool up.

1.3 bar@7000 with Supersprint manifold, that should make some nice HP!

P.S. Is it a standard TD-05 converted to front entry?

Mark.

Mark,

It acctully makes positive boost from 2000 rpm

Yes i hope it will make around 330-350hp,but i dont know.....

Before on the VF-29 i made 302hp/1,15bar,without frontmount IC,
And there is a big diff

The TD05 is standard.made with frontentry ,inlet portet.
