Question

folks,

i'm considering changing my Scorpion for something with a much deeper more burbly note. Salsa-king's Magnex 6x4 sounds nice, but i don't believe its made anymore. so.... what are the options????

cheers,

Kev

Get a Blitz I got one for the first mod of my car and never looked back since. The deepest bestest sounding exhaust I have heard will not fail to turn heads.....not for the faint hearted but not cheap tho.

Blitz is not the loudest anymore.

Theres a company in Japan called BUddyclub. Listened to their exhaust on an STI8 and it is twice as loud as a blitz!!!

It is also the lightest system on the markett weighin in at justs over 4kgs (thats the full catback system)

Mine should be arriving middle of this week

Thanx for the replies guys. I was at the Jap Autosport show today and listened to a few. I don't want noise so much as more depth and burble. The Firestorm does make quite a nice sound, but an STi there had a 4" HKS silencer which sound that bit better (so perhaps leaning slightly in that direction just now).

Brun, now I think about it, you may be right there - sounds nice though! I haven't heard a blitz one yet. Also, how much do you guys think would be reasonable to ask for my SS Scorpion (3") silencer, which will of course be for sale.

Cheers,

Kev

Have just downloaded the Blitz abnd the Firestorm MP3s. IMHO the Blitz sounds the best.

Try listening to them with the screen visualisations on - seriously cool!! It almost seems as though the noise becomes alive!! Sorry may be I should reduce my petrol intake!!!

By the way, don't count out a Haywoods and Scott backbox - seriously deep and rumbly. A full decat sounds the absolut mutts nuts - loads of popping and burbbling on the overruna s well.

All the best

Dave

Came across the Scoobyworld Ninja online - looks a very nice box! Gonna try and grab another listen to Demondave's (didn't know that's what he had). £215 seems good value for money looking at the finish and apparently its a very good fit. We'll see if it plays the tune I'm listening for!

If your ever around surrey area then you can have a listen at my Buddyclub system

It is a racing spec exhaust from japan and is the lightest in the market weighing just over 4 kg.

I had a HKS Hiper previously.

However, the buddyclub brings out the sound of the true flat 4 and is the loudest ive ever heard!!

Have a look here. its the spec 3 you are after

BL,

Cheers for that. I have relatives in London, but am unlikely to be in Surrey any time soon. Also, I am after deep more than loud, which may mean a comprimise between depth and flat4 burble perhaps.

I guess it depends on the rest of the system??? but the Firestorm did seem a touch raspy when comprared to the HKS on Sunday. I think a listen to the Ninja will enable me to make my choice from the three. Thanks to all for your opinions.

I would say a G-Power Medallian,
It was on my 93WRX when it was imported, VERY deep, and not harsh or raspy sounding, just pure rumble. When I come to change my car (not for a long time) I am either going to take it off, or source another one. Also, its absolitley massive!
Do you want a picture?
Cheers, Rob.

Hi Rob,

I think it must be worth a look. Question would be where to source one from and if its still manufactured. Pics will be appreceiated.

Oh believe its not just loud but also very very deep.

On full revs it sounds like thunder!!! Also very deep on idling

Let me know when your in London next and you can have a listen. The good thing is that it is a subtle 4" exit with a striaght through 3" pipework. The pipework is completely straight without any kinks.

My personal opinion is htat its the best system ive ever heard on a scoob plus it really shows off the flat four sound.

I cant believe no one has mentioned the BPM Twister from Auz

The noise even compared to my Old P1 with a full decat Blitz is astonishing

Get one like the one on my 22B! It sets off car alarms as you pass...plus the natural flames, bangs and pops.....

Ok, so my car wasn't ready for the weekend - robably be back next week. But I have no treated it to a shiny new rear silencer as fitted to a friend's car.

I have opted for the Scoobyworld Ninja - its a wicked looking back pipe and sounds great on Demondave's motor. As soon as Scoob is returned to me, its going on and I will post my verdict here.

Thanks for all the advice and opinions throughout this thread.
