What things can cause overboost?
#1
Can folks please post reasons below so i can double check everything on my car!
I know about the oil in the solenoid & solenoid pipes but this isnt the cause.
The car is boosting right through to the fuel cut.
TIA
PS: Ive already exhausted the search facility!

Its a bit hit and miss.
Everything was fine on the car for over a year with the mods ive got - full decat & K&N.
I came to fit a knocklink and moved the intercooler and its all happened since then. Ive double checked all the pipes for cracks etc...
If i floor it it boosts right round to 15psi then fuel cut. If i apply gently it tends to stick around the 12/13 mark but it hovers instead of being steady - then as i whack more on it increases.
It is dumping cos i can hear it through the induction kit when i lift off the accelerator.

This i have done hence the reason i cant understand whats wrong. Ive double checked the lot, cleaned everything up and made sure there were no blockages, splits, cracks or loose jubilee clips!

Maybe you had a slight leak before that you have now cured by checking the intercooler. A full decat will raise the boost and quite possibly beyond the fuel cut. It happened on mine when I improved the exhaust system right through.
