Sounds most likely to be your clutch, maybe some oil has ended up on your pressure plate during the service.

just drove 20 miles on the motorway. stopped at the trafford centre and found it difficult to select first gear it went in eventually but had to push.... This very strange as it's never happened before. in the carpark with the clutch depressed i found it difficult to select all the gears and reverse made a bug clunk when selected.

Can anyone shed any light on my possible problem. Is the gearbox in need of a change in gear oil. It was last done ~5k miles ago during a major service.

Any help would be appreciated.
