I've not mentioned M5 for about two days now because David was getting cross Maybe that means I am keeping the Scooby
Tuning Scoobies is sometimes like that dodgy religion I used to be into Constant doubts, worries, disappointments A group of like minded nutters keeps the lie going if you tell yourself often enough it is all worth it.
Not really Got a bit weird there.

Andy only wants me to get an M5 so he can (continue to) pass me That is all that matters to him I won't say what matters to me as that will get me thinking about M5s again and I don't want to do that
Anyway, if I got an M5 and I asked Andy what to do next with my car he would not be able to tell me (except rip the telly and leather out of it and hang a 20G off each bank) and I would be in the dark

Get a competition licence, find a suitable class at club level, go and have some fun track racing. Hard to beat for satisfaction.
Keep the Scoob anyway.

... if anything??
Ok after the weekends results at TOTB2 in which i achieved my goal of a 12.5 quarter mile, i dont know what to do next
Do i change the car, Skyline? M5? Evo?
Do i go all out with current car?
Leave it, as i know it is running very very well, and meets all my expectations of this time last year.
Re going all out on my car, what next? Gearbox? Enigine?
Too many things to think about

Only thing stopping me getting a Skyline is the fuel (worse than a scoob) and mainly the practicality of it.
Suppose i should 1st be thinking what car as a run about? and make this into the toy.
I really love scoobs, and want to go further, but am still not sure
Steven
Thanks for the complements BTW

Don't even think about jumping ship!!! Your car looked superb at TOTB. Next has to be a big engine - 2.3 or 2.5 - what a Stealth Monster it would be Lots of power off boost as well as on - 500bhp & 420 to 450ft/lbs in a v. nice red wagon would be awesome -I look forward to progress reports.
Well done on the great results on Sunday & to David et al for putting in a huge amount of effort.
Good luck with the next part of your project.

Steven,
I have a turbo here that should get your car into the low 12s with your headers and set-up
After that it would have to be another engine methinks!
Turbo will hopefully be available before the Scooby shoot-out

Keep it.
I have spent a fortune on mine and sometimes think is it worth it?
At the end of the day decide what you use you car for then try to think of another car that can do the job yours does now, I'll bet there won't be much to touch the Subaru

I ll stick with the Subi and get it going a bit faster??
U ll need lots of $$$$$ to get the times on GTR??
Maybe that helps:
Car Engine 1/4 PB MPH
WRX auto, 2.0ltr 9.40 147
WRX auto 2.0ltr 9.71 148
WRX manual 2.2 10.02 145
WRX man. 2.0ltr 10.41 138
" " 2.2 10.62 141
Liberty 2.0 10.72 138
GTR 2.7 8.96 165
" 3.0 9.5 153
" 3.0 9.51 150
" 2.6 10.51 130
" 2.6 10.63 136
" 2.6 10.8 135
etc.etc
12.5 for 1/4 (dont know mods) is impressive and well done?
As for OZ(australia) 12.5 is average meaning only, there are lots of 12sec wrxs here.
Cheers

What about a pulsar GTIR?
A mate of mine who is an agent tuned his up madness. He made 623bhp on methanol and 36psi!
Now that would be fun

I have to agree, your car is very nice, but just on the sensible limit of gearbox and turbo.
At least with a skyline you don't need to do the gearbox and bottom end for 550hp (if you're careful). Suspension is most likely just lowering spring. WHeels and tyres are pricey though due to immense size.
I think R34 skyline if I had the money.

How old are you now??
wait until youve done the bathroom kitchen, and new shed..(in the field) then do my approach.. cheap toy.. can get an evo for less than 3k..
shed = plenty of room to fix it..
