Unhappy

Apart from having the odd prob with the cam/crank sensor thingys

i now have another gremlin attack me...

i turn off the imobiliser and turn on the ignition anall the dash lights up ok

turn the key one more click and...

nothing ..all the lights go out and theres a clunk from the starter motor solenoid.. then absolutly no lights at the dash...

i checked the obvious loose leads battery voltage all ok

then lo it starts next turn of the key...

done it twice now!!!!

when engine running 13.75-14 volts at the battery rising as the engines revved

I notice I only have one rather flimsy looking earth lead from the battery to the air intake webs for the engine

do i need to add more earths or beef up the one i have

or is it somthing else???

My96 2.0gl non turbo

I would say it was deffo an earth prob!! you should have one to the engine and one to the chassis as a minimum!!
