A while ago, I read and ask some question about turbo who can produce 350 with less lag. Everybody said TD05. So I bought one, and mapped it. Now i mmeasure it with the apexi rsm and the result is 314 bhp at 1.3 bar. My car setup is:
- 550 RX-7 injectors
- TD05/16g (small one i think)
- AVO Fmic
- Fuel pressure
- Unichip
- egual length header

This is what you can get to mods your car for 350bhp.
But i cannot understand that i have only got 314 bhp and a lot td05 drivers get 350bhp.
Do I have to set my boost at 1.6 bar to reach the target?? I hope someone knows the problem

oh forgot to say, my a/f gives 0,96 volt.

What calibration do you have in your RSM?

What ignition timing are you running at say 4000 RPM 1.3 bar and 6000 RPM 1.3 bar? What octane of fuel?

If from a classic shape Impreza, a narrowband lambda voltage of 0.96 is too high and will cost you about 20 BHP at a guess.

well sure you can get 350bhp with a TD05/16g but not with 1.3bar, at least I would say to use 1.5bar sustained ..... even if using headers I would still use more boost.

IIRC Andy F. got over 350bhp with the TD05/16g and the stock headers but with a "little" more boost

Like John B.'s said, also watch for your AFR .....

Oh that is the point a/f and timing. I run 98 octane and the a/f is indeed 0,96 volt measure on a narrow band lambda. The car is also not 100% mapped, only for 80%. My header was leaking at that moment of tuning.
About the figures over timing etc etc, is the problem i do not have this details. But my main thing is already been answered.
1.5 bar at least!!

You might not need that much. You cannot expect a half ar$ed mapped car with leaking headers to do the power m8

On the way to every power figure I've posted on this board there have been loads of crap ones getting it right... whilst you can get 350 BHP (depending on dyno) it is not without lots of careful mapping.

My car (MY94 WRX) is running 330bhp with a TD05, Pace FMIC, 550cc injectors and Blitz induction kit, at 1.3 bar (peak, 1.25 held)mapped on 95 RON. This is running conservatively rich as well (don't know figures, thats what Mervin told me when he mapped it), so I don't think you need to run big boost to get what you want.
