Can i just hijack this thread to ask what a phase one or two head is please? What would my standard UK turbo be? phase zero?

Sorry for my ignorance but i have a vague idea that i would need bigger injectors if i ever have the money to progress with a BHP upgrade but i don't really understand the phase one phase two thing.

Thanks in advance.

Roy.

"Phase One" / "Phase Two" is an abbreviation of the full name "Subaru Boxer Master 4 Phase One" (or Two), the marketing name for the engine, as opposed to the actual type code (EJ20G, EJ20K, EJ207, EJ207).

As a simple guide if your car is pre-MY99 then it should be Phase I, if it's post-MY99 then it should be Phase II. It is, however, insufficient to say that an engine is Phase I or Phase II, there are early and late versions of both with big differences beyond the usual UK / JDM differences.

Cheers,

Pat.

Thanks Pat,

would it be safe to assume that my MY94 UK (with PPP) is a phase one then?

Cheers,

Roy.
