Just got a 98 uk turbo. Got a problem (already!). Car has been fitted with a full scoobysport system (de-catted) and an HKS panel filter. When on full throttle and high rpm (4500+) particularly in a low gear I'm getting a cut out for a split second(presumably a fuel cut cos the things at 1.25bar?). Only first experienced it today, car has run perfectly till now, even at Crail y'day (10+ 1/4 mile runs with no probs at all)
Can anyone offer advice?
Cheers
Tim

If overboosting, try changine the boost bleed orifice for a smaller one. Other than that, if you remove the original one, carefully solder up the hole [as it is made of brass, very easy], then simply re drill the hole using a 1.mm drill. Try the motor, if not suitable, then re drill at 1.2mm. Simple, very chep to try and no need for a garage bill.

Don't reduce the size of the restrictor orifice on a MY98!!!! It will be overboosting all the time.
The restrictor needs to be enlarged fractionally (say 0.5mm) to reduce boost cuts etc.
Another alternative is that the boost control solenoid and restrictor could be gunked up with oil (if the levels are a bit on the high side). Cleaning the boost solenoid and restrictor with carb cleaner may solve your problem.
If in any doubt give me a shout off-line.
