I’ve been experiencing what seems to be fuel starvation at 4-5000 rpm under hard acceloration. It only happens with the accelorator floored and mainly in 3rd & 4th. It has also been a lot worse (more consistent) since a longish 350 mile round trip on A & B type roads. Am I right in thinking that although I have been running on 98ron its the knock sensor telling the ECU to cut back to avoid damage. If so does that mean an ECU re-map. Incedently the ECU was reset which has helped get boost back at 2500 but still has the ”flat spots’. Can anyone out there help?

Run a self-diagnostic. If one of the sensors are buggered it'll flag it up. Shout if u need an advice.
