I've an MY00 Impreza and when i put the car in reverse and its rolling backwards, if I dip the clutch I can hear a chick chick chick chick noise (and no its not cheeky cheeky ).

Its not a click or a scrape the best way to describe it is a chick chick noise which speeds up and down in line with speed of wheel rotation. It only does it with the clutch down, if the gears are engaged it goes away.

Any ideas?

It sounds like an "off load" noise from the gearbox, maybe even centre differential unit. Not too much to worry about, only if it does such under load,or whilst revving engine up in neutral would i worry.
