Question

Guys,

What mods can I make to my 94MY WRX, it already has a dump valve and SS Exhaust. Im looking for an increase in torque rather than BHP?

Cool

I assume you have changed the air filter as well?

An ECU remap will give more power and torque.
The most common remap seems to be the PE Phase 1.

Hi Harj,

Why don't you go for the Scoobysport Downpipe??? It gives a little more torque in the lower rev range and it makes the car pull harder. As an extra you get a GREAT SOUND, think WRC !!!

It's all up to you.

Greetings

Cool

Harj,

I have a MY94 WRX as well and this is what I've done to mine, in this order.

SS Backbox and ramair filter
Superchip (since removed)
16" Wheels & Brembo brake conversion
SS Downpipe
Group N clutch (old one started to slip, probably through age)
MRT Anti-lift kit and stiffer anti-roll bars
PE Phase 1 conversion
Ramair changed for Blitz induction kit
MY99 Springs and dampers

The car now produces 291 bhp and 280 lb/ft.

Hope this gives you a few ideas

Stuart

Hi,

Based on the car's current state, i would consider the following plan:

Brakes...
Suspension...
(these two will make a quicker car than simple bolt-on horsepower)

...then...

Blitz Induction then...
Downpipe and PE Phase One together

Have a look at Paul Strong's dyno site to get a good idea of what mods make what difference to engine power/torque.
