About the same cost for external coating as fr wrap, but fuz reckons we need inside and outside coatings, around £170 a set.

The ceramic layers don't conduct heat, so the heat doesn't escape from the metal thru the outside coating, or if internally coated too then heat can't enter the metal in the first place.

Need some info from the coating company on the radiated temperatures after coating, may still wrap by front valence and oil filter!

Worked well on my OBX headers, lasting well ( 2 months so far! hehe ) and looks very sleek, not scruffy lagging like my downpipe.

Benefits as above, and rather quiet too!
