just taken off the front wheel on my 95 wrx and one wheel nut was really hard to get off and has buggered up the wheel nut and the thread,does anyone know if you can replace just that one thread or do i have to get a new hub,if so is it an easy job and how much, thanx.

Not uncommon, they are a stud and can be replaced, knock the old one out with a hammer and make sure you line up the new one carefully before you forcibly introduce it to its new home.

Question

mike do you know where to get the studs from,can i get them from a subaru main dealer , bearing in mind that my car is an import,cheers.

just done the job and the studs are the same as the british model because i ordered them from a subaru dealer,althrough as soon as i said i've got a wrx he replyed by saying that he could'nt even sell them to me,so i told a fib an said i had two one an import and one a british model,subaru would make a mint if they official service and sell parts for imports, there loss. nick
