Oh dear, after an enthusiastic drive today my engine has decided to let go, there is one hell of a knock coming from the bottom end and it sounds £xpensive to me! What price would you expect to pay for a bottom end rebuild on a my97?

Still...18 months and all it's cost is a 45k service and a pair of brake disks, now wheres that cheque book!

Regards Dean.

Silly question, if it's a UK shouldn't it still be covered by the warranty?

If not how about getting hold of a 2nd hand short engine for the time being and building your old one up to something really special when costs allow .

You may be lucky and not need a full rebuild though...

Tim.
The warranty was out in Feb.

I think I will get it repaired and move it on, there are some great deals on 5dr's and I could do with the extra room for my business. One things for sure, it will be well under 3 years old!!!!!!

Regards.
