Ive tried this one on the general forum but with no luck.I am getting my cam belt done soon and wondered if I should get an up rated roger clark oil pump fitted at the same time due to storys of oil pumps sticking? and causing big end damage.whats your opinion on this? ive heard storys of the oe pump being good and bad and dont know whats the truth. Can Any of the engine re build lads out help me?

I ran my last car up to 115000 miles with 2 cambelt changes without changing the oil pump and no problems. The one thing I would recommend is changing the crankshaft oil seal, especially on the second cam belt change.

Agree with Graham with regard to the crank seal..
Pump has got to be down to you personal preference..
I plan to change my cambelt and oil pump in the summer if the engine is still in one piece.. but then it will be on 150,000miles by then.
