Cool

Guys

I've finally got the BPM Twister system fitted. Here is my feedback.

The exhaust is around 95-97 DB (I'm guessing). Good boxer sound, but a little on the loud side. Flow is excellent and the finish is very high quality, comparable to Japanese stuff. The bonus is it's Ceremic coated (HPC).

What I really like is the ability to interchange with OEM exhaust. E.g. While I was waiting for the centre section, I could fit the OEM mid to the BPM downpipe and muffler without any dramas.

The sound is very very nice! My car seems to breath much better and it no longer feels restricted at high RPM.

Only downside is initial fitting will take a while longer as the hangers are adjustable. However, this does allow slight exhaust angle tweaking when required.

I am looking forward to giving it a blast on the next track day. I recommend you give it a try!

Craig,
Most of us Aussies are on egroups
I have the GT only and a mate has a Twister (backbox ony at the moment)on his STi V6.
The Twister appears to be actually quieter than the GT believe it or not, and lacks the deep throaty sound of the GT. However for race or track use, it is better suited.
What mods do you have on your car and which state are you in??

Gday Douglas, Guys!
I also have just fitted the complete turbo back BPM GT system with Twin Dump pownpipe and the BPM GT muffler and I must say that I am more than happy with it!

The adjustable hangars shouldnt make it take THAT much longer to fit, you jsut have to think about what they are doing and they are easy enough to adjust, its no real drama.

The only thing to be careful of is that you dont mount the hangers to the muffler too high, as the guy that fitted my muffler did, which melted a small black mark into the lip on the bottom of the bumper. Luckly you can only see it if you stick your head under the car

Admittedly it was almost touching, he was stupid to mount it like that as all you need to do is loosen the lock nuts and turn the hangers around

The finish on my system is exceptional to say the least

Im sure when you get out you will notice a great improvement, especially in the top end. An also less lag too.

Oh and the sound, sensational!!

LOVE IT

Enjoy your system mate

Firstly it is good to see more Aussies on this bbs..

As to the Twister , has anyone purchased both the GT muffler [I own this one] and compared them. I am considering utilising the Twister for track days and the GT muffler for daily use.

Seraph - Have you the GT Muffler as well?

If so please post your results and feedback.

I wouldnt say it was that loud that you would be put off it... It's really not THAT bad at all actually.

But then I guess 7 years driving Mazda Rotaries with big exhausts and working in Radio for 9 years has stuffed my hearing up a little.......

Paul - Ypou can join in although we will beat you guys in any football game you choose.

Nigel- When there is a direct comparison from you can you email me privately? I have spoken to some people who state the Twister does not reveal itself until on the track.

As to the the state, I am in QLD and a member of the WRX club. I rank quite highly in the dyno comparisons, although I keep this acheivement quiet from my wife .

My mods are as follows on my 98 Rex

Performance Mods listed only

VF22
BPM GT Exhaust with full HPC
BPM Venturi Pipe
APS TMIC
BPM Cold Air Induction kit with Carbon Fibre
Microtech ECU [Considered LINK but no one could tune it in this state]
BPM Large Inlet Pipe
Mines Short Shift
TurboSmart Type 3 Blow off Valve
Sti Clutch
BPM Flywheel

Futue Purchases will be

BPM Extractors
2.2 Stroker kit weighing up BPM with JUN

And many other things..I will not rest until, I hit 250kw at the wheels.
