Just a quickie for ya,
I changed the oil in my g/box today, I put 4ltrs in as it says in the book, I then checked the level and it was over full, so I took the drain plug out to loose a bit, however the level is stilla little bit high, the question is will it hurt anything to have say 1/4inch too much oil in the box?
Your thoughts please.
Cheers
Ron

The car must be level when you check the G/box level, its very sensitive to this. 4ltrs. does appear to overfill the box, and I used 31/2 ltrs. when I changed mine on recommendation from Pete at S/sport.
What oil did you use? I changed to full synthetic (Silkoline) but have found no real benefit, the syncromesh performance is still poor (1st to 2nd & 4th to 5th at ???! speeds)
