Best Knock-Link sensor position ?
#1
Hi folks,
I need some advice . Where's the best position to bolt on the Knock-Link sensor on the engine? I've seen a picture of one positioned on the inlet manifold towards the front nearside of the engine . Is this a good position?
Is there a particular piston that suffers det more than others and if so can I bolt the sensor close to this one?
Regards,
John

the speed of sound in a solid is enormous. To add to this the attenuation of sound in a solid is pathetic.
Stick your ear on the desk and tap it and you will hear. And that is wood which isnt as dense as metal.
Can't imagine the position is going to affect things one little bit.
