Hi all
Quick question... I've got a MY95 WRX and was wondering if it had the standard shift or the STi quickshift?
If, for example I got a GGR Quickshift would there be a noticable difference? Are there any other aftermarket quickshifts that can be reccommended?
Are they easy to fit?
Cheers
Justin

You will notice the difference!
The throw on the older cars is much longer than the newer cars with standard levers.
My MY99 has a fairly short one as standard, and I changed it for a much, much shorter one!
Hope this helps

I've got an after market (don't know which make)quick shift (about 10% shorter change).
Fitted to a 1994 WRX.
Well worth it, gives a nice crisp change, and very boyracerish!

I've considered a short shift for the blackbeast (MY94 WRX Wagon) but I seem to recall that the early cars (pre 96?) had a single syncromesh(?) and therefore it is possible to 'beat' the gearbox when changing gears, which I would assume would have a nice crunchy sound to acompany it.
i have in the past crunched the box in this way, but that could be naff driving, rather than a syncro issue.
Is my thinking wrong? am I ******** (yes, I know I am in general, I'm being specific here )
