Hello Mark,

Long time heah! Just make sure you have the right compresion spring, if you are getting the Forge one from forge you should get the right spring a blue one. If from else where and you put it on and don't get a wooooossssh sound or be it very faint it has the wrong spring in it. If that is the case you are not dumping the air and it's going to drive crap and you would of not got your monies worth.

Where ever you get it from if it's a forge, forge will send you the correct spring free of charge.

Oh another thing make sure you get the filter which sits around the dv over the holes this stops all the crap from getting in it or otherwise it will stick and you will be dumping to much air and run lean.

Get it sussed and you will enjoy the drive and wooooosshhh!!

Regards

TC (MOE)

Still waiting for it to be made! With the rest of the system its going to sound very tough... Possibly some flames with the D/V as well.

Great weather we are having eh?

Hi Topcat
I've got a Forge recirculating valve on my MY00. I couldn't say what type it is as a supplier sent me it after realising they had originally sent me the wrong type.
It doesn't have the loud whoosh noise you'd expect, but you can hear it when on high boost, just!
Could you let me know how to get in touch with Forge so I could get another spring.
Cheers
Steve

When I was at Trax last year I got a sudden urge to get a dump valve from the GGR stand. He asked me what model I had and gave me a normal baileys type dump valve and a blanking plate for the big pipe.
When i got home to fit it, I realised it was completely the wrong type and got on the blower to them. After speaking to three different people, they eventually realised my model had the recirculating type and they said they had one on the shelf and so this is what I ended up with.
I knew no different and so fitted it. When I first fitted it, I couldn't really notice a bucket load of difference especially as half the time I changed gear it overboosted and cut out! Recently I changed it back to the standard one to see if it was causing any problems as I can't get my boost control to boost to what I've set it at. Now I can clearly notice how much difference it makes!
Cheers
Steve

I've just called up Forge's web site and looked at a couple of pictures of there atmo & recirculating valves for the MY01.
Interestingly the one I've got is identical to the atmo ram dump valve and not the recirc one!
I'll phone them tommorrow to find out why mines so quiet.
See ya

Rosco,

Ta 4 that. I would get it checked out. like TC says, it might have a spring problem...

Hardy,

Yep, got it fitted last night. Picturs are in Genaral Q's at the moment. Sounds great! Haven't really had a good go of it yet as the traffic has been bad and no boosting. It was easy to fit (in the end! ) You can kep it at high revs and let on / off, hissing till your hearts content! Scared a couple of school kids this morning

If you are boosting hard it makes a loud noise, and a minor pshhh if you soft change.

Cheers for the web address. I spoke to a very helpful guy at Forge today and he's sending me a weaker spring tommorrow!
He said they're not ever so loud, but did say you could clearly hear it!
We'll see
Steve
