All Impreza turbos have LSD's but depending on the Model depends on what sort of slipper it has fitted. The UK cars have a viscose rear and center diffs wear as the STI's have adjustable and plate diffs. Don't know the full details and am sure some can add more information to this.

Does anyone know which model has L.S.D on the rear diff and how would I reconise it from one to another.

|Do a search in drievtrain for this. There was a massive thread leading to big arguments and posted sections of workshop manuals etc.

Have a look and see. I think the topic was related to the torque distribution front to rear.

 

My (previous) 96 WRX had a rear LSD.
My (current) STI 3 Type RA VLimited has a rear LSD unit.
My (current) BMW M3 Has a rear LSD unit.
