Question

Hello All

I have just recently bought a 1997 Impreza Turbo Catalunya model and this is my first non-ford car !!! I wish I had moved earlier !!
I have notice that the boost limiter comes on intermittently depending on how you use the gears sometimes. The limiter is cutting in about 3,500RPM when it does it and other days it won't do it at all. Seems to do it more in 5th gear on the motorway.
I have just come from owning a Sierra Cosworth and had this same problem if the actuator is wound up too much and trying to run more boost on a standard ECU chip.
Does this indicate that the actuator is wound up too much on my impreza ?? Or could this be something else ??
Any info would be appreciated.

Thanks

Gary
