Question

Has anyone carried out stopwatch acceleration figures before/after an ECU Link/PE/Unichip (or any other mod) upgrade? E.g. 70-90 mph in 4th? I'd like to recapture the straight-line speed of my old 1.8 Nissan 200SX which would do this increment in 3.5s, compared to 4.8s at best with the Impreza, which is a standard MY97 Turbo.

I realise I'm unlikely to replicate the Nissan's figure of 5.3s in 5th as the Scoob's top gear is taller, I currently get 8.0 for that. Is this typical?

I prefer to guage power increases in this real-world way as it's the way I drive, i.e. not bouncing off the rev-limiter etc...
