My main dealer is trying to flog me a P1 back box for my standard uk turbo, says it will improve mid range? suppose it will sound better, also they said they can chip it, both togher 250 bhp at a cost of 800 squid! my car is MY2000 is it a safe bet? help !!!!

Ask him what the chip is, chances are it's a superchip. THen ask him what the official IM warranty position is on it. He'll have to say it invalidates the warranty if he's honest, though he might offer to make sure you don't have a problem...thats fine as long as you are not going to sell the car, or are going to be happy being tied to him as a dealer...
It *may* be safe, but do some searches on here re superchip and make up your own mind.
For £800 you may as well just get a full exhaust system fitted though, along with a brake pad and disc upgrade IMHO, as long as you are happy gambling with the warranty.

CHEERS CHUCKSTER, He said all yhat but says it would be o.k. i will check out exhaust mods, that should not affect rest of my cars warranty?
