Changed my o2 sensor on my early 94 wrx & keep getting error codes:vehicle speed sensor & air idle control valve.

Any tips on how to sort these problems ?

I don't know about 94wrx, but did you reset the ECU?

Ok the engine runs fine with a good tick-over upto 4.5k till ecu cuts the power.I will clean the air idle solenoid with carb cleaner & see if this works. If they both came on @ the same time are they related ?
I have a speedo converter in the cable & see that the second senor is in the gearbox, does it matter that the ECU may see two different speeds ?
I think the error codes are triggered when driving above 5k.
Would the error lights go out if the problem is rectified or does a ECU reset have to take place ?
Ive seen that other people have had the same error messages maybe they could pass how they solved there problems.

Getting rather bored of bouncing from one problem to the next.
Thanks for your help & support

Are you getting 24 and 33 then ?
You might be misreading the 3rd flash
is it definietly long sometimes and short other times ?

I had both 24 and 33 recently
The 33 was an old one from last year when my speddo cable went (and haven't cleared it since)
The 24 (idle air solenioid) was a new intermittent error, which still occasionally comes back on briefly
Luckily not usually on during the times I want to do >4500 rpm
(so far at least)

See several recent threads on '24' on here and iwoc
Keep us informed what you find

Correction to my post above

I assumed the 33 in my case was left over from a year ago.
But maybe not, if you are getting 24 and 33 together also ?
Can't see how they could be related though
