Question

Hi All

having fitted a KNi into my old Pug 205GTi and noticed a slight improvement in midrange grunt. Along with a nice induction roar sound. I am considering fitting one to my scoob.

What difference did you notice?
Any improvement in performance?
Was the noise excessive ?
Any improvement in fuel consumption?
Any problems with fitting or after fitting such as overboost, etc.
Did it make any difference to your insurance?

Cheers

Neal

I think there were a couple of threads on this quite recently.

Noise certanly increased. Power was up. Fuel economy, how much loud pedal do you use?

Fitting gave problems for some.

I fitted one to my car a couple of years ago.
It only took 20 mins and was a doddle, no probs at all.
There was a definite improvement in throttle response, and if figures mean anything my car was the most powerful exhaust/filter Scoob that had run at PE.
The noise is lush, not intrusive at all. Haven't noticed any probs with overboost and can't say I noticed amy improvement in mpg.

I fitted one about a month ago after the original threads on this, took less than an hour, and was definetly worth it for the grin on my face as I nailed the accelerator for the first time, and got this god almighty whoosh, and then lifting off to hear the excess air being dumped....

Noticed turbo spooled up quicker, and seems to pull better in 4th and 5th......

Neal,

I paid 66 from Demon Tweeks, but got a discount from them, as my boss ordered it and he buys loads of stuff from them. Insurance company added no charge
