bhp gain on a straight thru exhaust?

Not really a direct comparison with yours,
BUT (Both runs at Well Lane) Standard ECU.
With magnex BB and K&N panel 1996 UK (cold day)
220bhp@6000rpm, 198 lbsft 11psi boost
With HKS Hiper and full decat, Blitz cone and octane booster (hot day)
249bhp@6000rpm, 236 lbsft 13psi boost
Hope this helps

The dyno site has a few examples, but as always, they were on different days at differenct temps, sometimes different fuels and running different levels of boost, and also changing some other things! Adding a DP to the other PPP bits certainly makes a difference on the road where it counts - a massive difference. It is also quite quiet on my car with Magnex/Falkland twin dump pipe. Some say the prodrive centre and BB are restrictive hence the whooshing noises. Others say you can see right through the PPP centre section, so maybe that is not that restrictive. Folk seem to rate the magnex resonated centre on here for value and keeping the noise down, but apparently Scoobysport can put a resonator in their centre section also. For me I now have two complete exhaust systems and I'm not buying any more to clutter up the loft! The improvement from the DP at least is certainly worthwhile.

Anyone care to comment what bhp/torque gain is (on average) to be had on a straight thru scoobysport exhaust (on a my00+ppp)?
never been on a rr, so curious...

Fosters,
I had mine (MY00) on the RR at Power Engineering on the same day to get an idea of the improvement through having a SS downpipe and centre section added. Before the additions I had a SS backbox and ITG filter and the car was pushing out 247 bhp and 228lbs/ft, and after the downpipe and centre section it was 256bhp and 233lbs/ft.
The main difference though, is in the driving of the car, as it's far smoother and the power is there throughout the rev range, whereas before it would drop off slightly in the middle.
Not sure though how this will compare with yours, but it's just my tuppence worth.

Uhmm, looks like another 20-30bhp and a lump of torque too. I shall have to get on a RR sometime.
orbv, yes I was selling it, but there hasn't been any serious interest so I'm keeping it. It's a terrible bind, but I'm learning to live with having to keep it
