I have a UK spec WRX (Dutch Import) that I'm looking for an alternative
to the Prodrive kit.
Ideally what I'd like is a system that requires no modifications to the
car apart from plugging in the new ECU (ie that can be removed without
trace when the vehicle is sold). I'm after a modest improvement to
available torque and power especially at lower revs, but with out
compromising engine life. Peak power is irrelevant to me. I suppose this
is similar to the philosophy for the PPP.
Having read the info on your website and the info on the Possum Bourne
and MRT sites and countless postings on the Scoobynet BBS I'm a little
confused. Your site says that I would need ECU and knock/lambada link
units wired in, where as others imply that only the ECU is required
(with or without custom map). Can you enlighten me ! I really don't want
to have boost gauges and other black boxes that would make no sense to
me, or have no interest to me. (I just want to drive the car ! )
Can you [BRD] do just the ECU and custom map ? Obviously you need diagnostics
to set up the maps but I don't them to drive the car.
Also what have been the experiences so far with the Link and MY01 ? Any happy punters listening out there ?
Many Thanks ... Andy

Yes we can just do the ecu, it means that the map will be more conservative as you will not get any advance warning of poor fuel etc but we "strongly advise" modules are installed but do not insist, I use det cans for mapping and correlate to the knocklink for best sensitivity.
