Question Decat Centre Sections

I've got £100 burning a hole in my pocket, and I'm wondering is there's much point buying a H&S decat centre section IF I'm still using the standard double-pea-shooter back box?

I am intending to replace the backbox in the near future, but what difference if any will the new centre section have with standards bits on either side of it?

What MY? Any other mods? You would benefit more from a decat downpipe...

Agree. Replace the down pipe with a decat open neck from H&S before the centre section. It will release much more power and give a more aggressive grunt to the noise. You will also here the turbo spoil up with a distintive 'wisssshh' sound. However, You really need to get a new back box to release that flat four rumble.
IMO i would first get the back box for the sound, then the downpipe for the power and finally the centre section if you want the exhaust louder and deeper.
When i had my down pipe fitted i also had an ITG filter fitted...well worth it IMO.

smurfy.
