Will I need to make any fueling or other modifications when fitting a TD05 to my Classic?

At the moment the setup is as follows:

Hayward + Scott exhaust (turbo back,decatted)
K+N Induction Kit
SAFC
Profec B boost controller (@16psi)


and, will there be a noticable difference when driving?

Any advice will be much appreciated!

i just finished to fit it on my 99 (not started enough).
from my opinion if you don't rise over 1.2bars (17 psi) fuel pump and injectors are ok, but it would be nice to modify fuel line as parallel.
with phase 2 you will have the problem of down water hose that mills against engine body(because TD05 is quite bigger) .
i must file the hump

id think about getting your ecu remapped for better performance and also to make sure you dont blow your engine

Most noticeable difference will be the increase in spool point, and power once it's online...which then lasts longer. Spool can be improved with a remap (big lean spot during spool up), but it'll never get much better than 1 bar in 4th by 3k.

Limit yourself to no more than 1 bar at the redline on stock injectors and fuelling, and buy a new fuel pump and knocklink. Confirm that the knocklink works

Having fitted the knocklink, you might want to start off by lowering the boost a bit. 16psi on a TD05 is going to be sucking in lots more air than 16psi on a standard TD04. Also, a remap is advisable. Your ECU maps are expecting TD04 air, and so fuelling/timing/boost at certain rpm/loads will be totally different with a TD05.
