I dont want to bore you all with the recent problem I've got, but can anyone tell me how to clean the wastegate & boost solenoid on a MY01 Bugeye, If anyone has the time to show me what the solenoid and waste gate look like or where they are ,pics would help a lot.

Cheers

Phil

Hi Phil

I'm not sure on how to clean the wastegate but i cleaned my boost solenoid by spraying brake cleaner into it.

Remove the pipes from the solenoid

With the ingnition off connect the two error check plugs toghther (two i think are white and two are green) these are located at the driver side footwell i had to really get underneath and look up under the steering colum to get access to these.

Then turn ignition on and you should hear the boost solenoid clicking away and the rad fans spining.
Spray some brake cleaner into boost solenoid.
Turn ignition off and unplug the connectors from under the steering colum.

I believe this is the wastegate

and this is the boost solenoid

Hope you sort it out mate
