I beleve a few people have managed 350bhp with a TD05 and some a little more, the 05/06 should be good for closer to 450. I don't know how many people have actually run them up to this, the most i've heard so far is 415....... Except someone with a 2.5 but i'm not counting that

IIRC 20g is the size of the compressor wheel, standard '05 being 16g and 05/06 being 20g

I made 419bhp with an TD05/06 and IIRC Andy F made 440bhp with the same turbo... Both 20G's

Both on 2.0

i made 419 too on a TD05/06 20G at 1.35 bar boost.

Alan Bell made over 370 on a standard TD05 at 1.5 bar boost.

Rich Wild has made over 380 with a front entry TD05, not sure on boost.

Rich Wild was about 1.35 bar.

TD05 will only hold about that to the redline, and then you need an unrestricted inlet/IC/exhaust.

I understand that the TD05-16G is used in the earlier WRX (Ver1-3?),
how is the lag compared to the TD04-13G?

I am currently using the TD04-13G (from a MY03) on my 1.6L engine (4age) producing about 250-260bhp at 1-1.1bar at 6200rpm. Is there more to be squeezed out from the TD04?
There is a TD05 being offered cheaply and I am thinking of using the TD05 but is afraid of incurring even more lag on my smallish engine.

With a 1.6 I would say the TD05 will be very laggy compared to the TD04. The TD04-13G should be able to flow enough air for 280-290bhp.
