to any of the mechanics out there, need some advice.

honest knowledgable answers. i have an MYO4 WRX. i am very keen to fully decat, downpipe back. is there any problems i can possibly encounter, without remap. heard things of engine det. is this true, or is it possible. will fully decating shorten my engine life.

answers appreciated, as possibly going ahead soon.

I have a identical to yours WRX03 with full decat and believe me except boost control that is slightly wavy EGT is lower and the car breathes much better, if you have a look at det (buy a knock link), boost and Injector duty cycles as the factory injectors are small you won't have any problem except more BHPs!
Mine has 220ps/29Nm at the wheels with full Scoobysport exhaust minus backbox measured with DeltaDash on very heavy smoothing and 100RON fuel!
