Default Problems after fitting new exhaust

I've just had a 3" exhaust fitted, centre cat removed and have read on a thread somewhere that this can cause the engine to run lean and to keep off the loud pedal. Is this the case 'cos I've been giving it some real hammer? If so what can I do?

Not usual for it to run lean unless the MAF is fubared, though it may well cause it to overboost

It might add a couple of psi to your max boost, which may/may not cause a fuel cut (depending on variables like weather, what your max boost currently is, whether you have a FCD fitted, etc). As for running lean, it could in theory make it run leaner if you already have a lean problem. But if your AFR is currently happy, then I don't think it would create a problem...

Cool

Thanks. I'll continue with my usual heavy right foot then.
