Oil leak following rebuild
A couple of months ago I had my engine rebuilt following a sudden and unexplained big end failure.
I've done 2000 miles since then and had occasionally smelled burning oil. Today I saw blue smoke coming from under the bonnet, so I pulled over and took a look under the bonnet.
The smoke was coming from the front of the engine at the driver's side:
There was also oil visible in a couple of other places:
Needless to say, given that I personally know two other scooby owners who have suffered engine fires I called the AA and had it recovered back to the garage where the engine was rebuilt. About five hours later, thanks to a typically crappy train service, I'm finally back home. Not happy
Given that the engine had a complete rebuild recently, I guess it could be coming from anywhere - but can anyone please suggest what could be leaking and what the likely remedial work is likely to be?
Thanks
Andy.

rocker box gasket ? 2nd & last pic looks like its in that kind of area?!? but last pic is hard to tell where it is !
1st could be smoke coming up from there. it hits the exhaust and makes a huge cloud!
easy to fix, if that is it! but shouldnt have gone in 2k !
let us all know what they find!

Otherwise I totally concur with the remarks above.
