Question Step in downpipe connection - a problem?

I've just noticed a mis-alignment of the inside bell-mouth of my new Janspeed downpipe (the part that connects to the turbo) where it is welded to the downpipe proper. The result is a step of approx 1mm for part of the circumference of the inside of the pipe, right at the point at which the mouth reduces to the 3" cross-section of the pipe.

Does anyone know whether this will have a detrimental effect on the gas flow?
If so, would the best remedy be to file it down or return to manufacturer?

Any advice welcome!

What looks like a seam inside is actually the edge of the downpipe

Theoretically, it will affect the flow very slightly, but in practice you wouldn't be able to measure the difference in power, you certainly won't notice it !
