What FMIC with TD05-16G??
Hi all
I have a 99 Impreza GT with following specs:
TD05-16G
H&S 3" DP
HKS Super Drager decat DP back
Walbro uprated fuel pump
Samco Y-pipe in OEM TMIC
Apexi AVC-R
EcuTek 3, mapped by EMS
Current output is around 310 BHP and 390 NM running 1.3 bar dropping to 1.25.
I'm looking for a FMIC to suit the setup as i'm looking for a little safty margin. Have a few in mind and obviously the Hybrid would a nice cheap solution, but is it to big for my setup?
Thanks in advance
Rasmus

depends on your goals.
if you dont have aircon, i would consider the lateral performance jobbie.
it comes in two flavours, one big for moster outputs and a smaller one for more normal cars.
I would go for this latter one with a smallish turbo such as yours.

I have a similar setup to you but with Gruppe-S headers and the Hybrid FMIC and made 283WHP at Prosport recently.
Mine is an MY98 but I was using a MY00 TMIC and fitting the FMIC really opened things up on my car, previously I could only run 1.35-1.4 bar midrange dropping off to 1.2 at the topend, I now run 1.5 midrange dropping off to 1.3 with much better inlet temps, the difference is very noticeable (OEM clutch didn't last the first mapping session).

AFAIK the TD05 can flow a lot of air, Ninnybobs runs his MY02 on a fe TD05 with an APS FMIC which is pretty big as well. Mapped by Bob Rawle it appears *well* sorted.
Maybe Andy Forrest would be the best person to ask
