Default downpipe question....would i notice any difference?

ive got a 93 wrx with a magnex downpipe.........the 2 into 1 design.
its holds peak boost right up the revs and pulls like a train....ive also had a scooby ecu fitted....used to spike a bit before with just a decat.
would i notice any difference if i got a open neck downpipe.....would it be any louder or would i get any noticable power gains? i would like more power obviously but i have a non res centre and a afterburner vortex backbox so i dont want to get much louder....more bass i can cope with though
any ideas?
thanks.tone.

It's unlikely that you would get any noticeable power increase using the open neck design downpipe.

The magnex is partially open neck in the way it allows flow from the wastegate side of the turbo. The Fully open neck gives a slightly deeper tone, but is also louder (I've tried one on mine for a short time, but it wasn't mine so I had to put the Magnex back on).

I have also got a 93wrx and in the near future will be getting a decat downpipe. But at the moment undecieded what make. Was looking at a scoobyworld open neck. Just of a matter of intrest where did you get your down pipe from.

tonytone-- ive just got the magnex twin dump d/p and am getting rid of my open neck H+S. There's a buyer for my open neck so why not try the magnex.

I was getting the exhaust changed over to the standard system as my mot was due so just thought id kill 2 birds with one stone.
