My HKS is on is way, but I just been told that the cat-back wont fit to a UK WRX without the HKS downpipe?? is this correct?? he also mentioned that the cat-back will fit directly into the Jap spec WRX!! what is the difference between those two?? please advice

if your talking about classics then the downpie on the wrx is exactly the same as the uk one appart from the extra threaded hole for the heat sensor on the WRX.

HKS exhaust may have a 3inch flat flange?

nope you will need a extra pipe that sits between the downpipe and centre section

the hks is 3 inch but will fit a 2 1\2 no probs

I have a classic down pipe on my new age ( well its the tsl sports cat that will fit both ) that gets round this problem

but it will fit the jap version without the pipe right??? so all I need is to change the full down pipe or change pipe between the standard downPipe and the centre section....??

hks do a link pipe for the exhaust ( i have one in the garage) but Im not sure how much they cost
