Intercooler fin damage
I have noticed that a lot of the Intercooler fins have become bent on my MY99 turbo probably due to objects passing through the bonnet duct. The fins seem to be very very fragile. I know that damage to this will restrict the air flow through it so should I look at replacing it?. If so where can I buy one?
are they easy to fit?
I've seen an Intercooler Shield for sale also: http://www.powerengineering.co.uk/su...cts/engine.htm (bottom of the page) Does anyone have one of these? are they any good?
Any help/advice would be appreciated.
Jman.

I had one of them fitted but was advised to take it off as it restricts airflow. Also affected i/c waterspray
Just get a flat blade screwdriver and bend your fins back in place

To get the best results, remove it , straighten all of the fins, including the ones underneath ( you'd be surprised ), and then run water from a hosepipe through the fins from beneath. Do this so that the water runs into a bucket after passing through the fins.....I'm always surprised by all the crap that doing this seems to dislodge.
