...r to my MY04 WRX
Would fitting a different airfilter affect the warranty?
Is it the same exhaust part used in the PPP?

i wouldnt worry about the warranty too much with the air filter, just ask at a dealer about the backbox too, when i told them what i had done (which is exactly what you are thinking of) they said that it was a good idea.....
also yes it does increase the power nicely
mine rolling roaded at 248 and 252 at 2 different places, and mines an 03 WRX with just the above modifications.
Hope that helps.
(if you want to elliminate one warranty issue regarding the backbox.....just buy the WR sport one, its the same one that comes with the PPP except its a slightly different tailpipe.)
Neil.

Exactly the info I was after, cheers
Will the decat effect warranty? Is it just removing the cat from the existing pipe?
All 3 on the list for ASAP I think.
250BHP for under £500 sounds better value than the PPP anyway

i didnt put it on the rollers untilid had the bbox and filter anyway, but you can hardly call it heavily modified!! you would probably get over 230 as standard is say. which is more than subaru quote for a start
(03/04, doesnt matter as long as its not an 01/02 it will have the better ECU map )

its a nice idea to get it RR'd befor eyou do anything anyway, i missed the opportunity to do mine befor ei made my additions, but now even with my minor mods it still regularly gets more power and torque than decatted classics and bugeyes, even with all the cats in place.
